Dr Krishnendu Sarkar

Prof Krishnendu Sarkar, Chief of Strategy & Impact and Chief of Life Skills, NSHM Knowledge Campus, was the first head of academics in the year 2002. Prior to his joining in academics, he was involved with process automation in Steel Plants and with informatics in the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research for more than a decade put together.

Dr Sarkar has been involved in community and social actions for the empowerment of the marginalized with education, health, and livelihood. He has worked for the inclusion of thinking and creativity skills in K-12 to higher education curricula along with teacher preparation in India. He was arguably the first to be accorded as a ‘Master Educator’ by Dr Edward de Bono of ‘Lateral Thinking’ fame.

He is keen on student-centred success in physical, digital, and blended environments with engaging practices in curriculum & instruction, education technology, teaching & learning, etc.
