Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, Vice Chancellor (Provost), Marwadi University Rajkot is an institution builder, policy planner and a regular columnist on various academic policies.

He has served as the Past President of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, Director, National Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Director In charge at NIT Trichy, NIT Calicut and SPA Delhi, Mentor & Director, NIT Goa, NIT Puducherry and NIT Sikkim. He has lead two private universities namely SRMIST, Chennai as its Vice Chancellor and Manipal University, Jaipur as its President in a career spanning more than 37 years.

He is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship under the Colombo Plan and was a Visiting Faculty at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok and had opportunities to speak to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on education matters and was also invited to address the Members of Parliament on issues of job opportunities and higher education.
