Hrridaysh Deshpande, Vice Chancellor of Ajeenkya DY Patil University has been in the field of education for over 27 years. He is the Director of Ajeenkya DY Patil Group and Director of Grand Port Hospital, a super specialty hospital in Mumbai.

In the past, he was associated with the India Design Council (IDC) as its consultant advisor and has served on the CII National Committee on Design. Under the aegis of IDC, he is spearheading India Design Mark Program in cooperation with Google Design Awards, Japan.

He is passionately committed to innovation, design and education and has proficiency in business innovation strategy and design driven Innovation. He has been on many international design juries like Taiwan International Student Design Competition in 2015 and 2017.

He has several innovations and design related publications to his name and has also assisted leading multinationals across a range of industries.
